The Global Hospital and Trauma Centre in Prayagraj was sealed by authorities after it was discovered that a dengue patient was allegedly transfused with fruit juice instead of platelets.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey said that ten members of a gang were arrested for allegedly selling fake platelets to patients in Prayagraj. The incident came to the fore after a dengue patient, in a private hospital, was transfused fruit juice instead of blood platelets.
