Legacy Capital Partners and Morrison Avenue Capital Partners Acquire 320-Unit Timber Ridge Apartment Community in Mobile, Alabama

MOBILE, AL - Legacy Capital Partners, a Cleveland, OH-based national real estate investor firm, together with Morrison Avenue Capital Partners, a Tampa, FL-based real estate owner and operator, have formed a joint venture and announced they have acquired Timber Ridge Apartments, a 1998-vintage, 320-unit apartment community in Mobile, Alabama. The property is located within 2 miles of the University of South Alabama and Providence Hospital, a major health care system in Mobile.  Legacy and Morrison Avenue have acquired Timber Ridge as part of their value-add strategy and plan to increase cash flow and value through the execution of interior upgrades for all 320 units, exterior and amenity improvements. As a part of the value-add strategy the joint venture will immediately address the property s deferred maintenance issues which include bringing a small number of down units back online.

Individual sought for questioning in connection with burglary in West Brighton

Man sought for questioning in connection with burglary of electronics in West Brighton Updated 12:21 PM; STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. The NYPD is asking for the public’s help via social media to find a person sought for questioning in connection with the burglary of a home earlier this month in West Brighton. Police responded on April 3 at about 5:40 a.m. to a call of a burglary in the vicinity of Morrison Avenue and Lawrence Avenue, according to a spokeswoman for the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information and a post on the 120th Precinct Twitter feed. A 44-year-old man told police that an unidentified individual forcibly entered the residence. Once inside, the individual removed electronics worth about $930 and fled the location to parts unknown. There are no reported injuries in this incident, the police spokeswoman said.

Workers were renovating the vacant home on Morrison Avenue when the fire started, according to Somerville Fire Chief Charlie Breen. When we arrived at the house that was under renovation, [it] was fully engulfed, Breen said. As you can see, it collapsed. It spread to houses on both sides. The fire heavily damaged two other homes. Three additional houses also suffered minor damage. With a city that is highly congested like this, we need to get ahead of it or we could lose an entire city block, Breen said.
