LWDH suspends elective services as COVID-19 outbreak expands to 10 patients

Article content The COVID-19 outbreak at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital has expanded to 10 patients testing positive for the virus, prompting the hospital to suspend elective services effective Sunday. In a March 7 news release, the LWDH says that all non-essential and elective outpatient services will be suspended for 14 days. Services that can be delivered virtually will be explored, the hospital said. LWDH will reach out to anyone who was scheduled to attend an appointment.
