BROOKLAWN - The planning board has approved a proposal for a waterfront restaurant here.
The 6,000-square-foot building would rise next to Big Timber Creek on property covering almost two acres at Creek Road and Route 47, according to representatives for the developers, Donald and Svitlana Bogey.
The couple once operated a restaurant at the site known as Bogey s Private Eye.
About 3,300 square feet of existing retail space would be demolished to make way for the project, as would about 850 square feet currently used as a garage, said Brittany L Esperance, a civil engineer retained by the developers.
She said docks that can accommodate four boats at the site are intended for restaurant patrons only that are interested in arriving by water.
MOORESTOWN – Lockheed Martin Corp. expects to add 120 jobs with an expansion project at its sprawling complex here.
The defense contractor is seeking township approval for an 84,600-square-foot building at its campus off Borton Landing Road, according to an application before the planning board.
The 75-foot-high facility would rise in two phases for completion by June 2022, the company says.
Lockheed Martin is consolidating some operations and moving a piece of our business to our Moorestown location, a spokesperson said.
The company offered no details about the work being transferred to South Jersey, but said the planned facility will be used for office space and light manufacturing.
