Sangrur DC Jitendra Jorwal said each day they monitor the calls received at the relief camps in Hamirgarh, Khanauri and Rampur Gujjran to assess the situation before visiting the affected areas with relief material.
The district heads of Ferozepur and Fazilka have asked the villagers living along the Sutlej River to stay alert. The villagers were asked to shift to higher places or to relief camps, but they decided to stay put.

Haryana yet again sealed its borders with Punjab at Dabwali, Jind and Fatehabad on Saturday morning. Farmers once again used their tractors to move boulders placed on the roads.
