With heavily armed police, many in tactical gear, served a warrant on their neighbors. Now theyre going in. It was about 12 officers running in and had on the s. W. A. T stuff, s. W. A. T stuff. They had two big ole black s. W. A. T things. Looked like something out of a movie. Police sources confirm the raid resulted in several officials they believed could be suspects. Five people were killed as the event erupted in gunfire just before 11 00 p. M. Three others were hurt. Abc 7 news has learned the violence may have stemmed from a dispute involving rival gangs including from San Francisco. The Sheriffs Department wont say yet whether those arrested in marin city are believed to be the shooters at the party. He says the officers called him name. I wasnt resistant at all. I had no kind of arm force to keep them from putting me in cuffs. Reporter fosters attorney has now filed a claim against bart and the officers. He says the officers were engaged in a form of racial profiling and selective law enforcement. This is a case where a slight admonishment could have easily have occurred, but yet it did not. Foster was cited and detained about an hour, causing him to miss work. Barts general manager apologized to foster and bart riders in a public statement. He also said eating in the paid area is banned and that foster had refused to provide identification, cursed at officers and made homophobic slurs. A bart spokesperson tells abc7 news bart will not comment about a future lawsuit. Barts independent Police Auditor is conducting an investigation, which will be pausedis is served with a lawsuit. Earlier this year nasa commemorated the 50th anniversary of the landing on the moon which remains the single most successful and Famous Mission in nasas history. Just a week before our cjs bill was marked up in sub skmit, nasa submitted a 1. 6 billion Budget Amendment and intended to start the effort to advance the return of humans to the moon by four years. Such little time prevented us from adequately considering the proposal. This hearing will give us an opportunity to obtain more information from nasas regarding its revised plans for returning to the moon.
