The effects of the latest atmospheric river to pour through Monterey County continued to be felt Monday as rain continued to pelt the region and people were still without power after high winds over the weekend felled trees and power lines, leaving nearly 30,000 customers without power, but better weather is in the offing.
Showers are forecast to continue Thursday, mainly before 4 p.m. There is a chance of rain and thunderstorms in the evening. Some of the storms could produce small hail and heavy rain according to the National Weather Service.
