Get up off of us and we can be and do whatever we can be. Floyds brother was among those speakers today. He says his brother has touched peoples hearts. You know, you come to third ward where we are from. People are crying right now. That is how much they love him. I am staying strong as i can because i need to get it out. Everybody wants justice. We want justice for george. He is going to get it. He is going to get it. Over the coming days, there will also be a private service in North Carolina where floyd was born. And floyd grew up in houston texas. Three of the four former officers involved in floyds arrest made their first Court Appearances today. Derek on the left is the officer seen yelling on floyds neck. He has already been charged with seconddegree murder. Thomas lane and Jay Alexander along with another officer are charged with aiding and abetting floyds death. Off. When i did accelerate, they shot three more bullets in the back. His 11month old daughter was in the backseat sleeping. Fearing she could be hit he switched to the furthest lane but he and his daughter were still a target. I heard three shots again when i was trying to get off the freeway. My daughter was in the car, i had to get away. The bullets turned out to be from a bee bee gun. He didnt want to be on camera, but by sharing his story hes hoping someone will recognize the gray charger. It had tinted windows and a rare decal on the window. Now im more cautious, thats a big wake up call for me. The chp says this was an isolated incident not tied to other freeway incidents weve heard about in the east bay. Theyre urging anyone with information to give them a call. Thank you. Now we head to new information about a 71yearold woman who was shoved to the ground and her purse stolen, it all happened in broad daylight. Tonight that woman is recovering from severe injuries.
