Alec Baldwin was seen on the set of his Western film Rust on Friday, holding a shotgun by the barrel. Filming has now resumed after the October 2021 fatal shooting of a camerawoman.
Western Montana has been the focus of television and movie production in recent years most notably the Bitterroot Valley as the setting for Yellowstone. But farther east, Billings and its residents have also had opportunities in front of the camera lens over the years.
Filming of the Western was halted after the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on set in October 2021, outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. Production is expected to resume near Livingston, Montana this spring at Yellowstone Film Ranch.
