While the various candidates may have differences on how they want to address the fentanyl crisis, they all agree that something needs to be done sooner rather than later. Fentanyl continues to ravage parts of San Francisco, and now the candidates for mayor are explaining how they hope to address the Overdose Deaths and Substance Abuse. Daniel lurie is pitching a plan. That was the focus for some members the oaklands city council today. At a public works addressed by the city to warehouse fire. Earlier vicki today three city councilmembers talked to these prevention measures. We need to understand whether the Building Department has systems for accountability we need to look at staffing up in Fire Prevention we know what we need to do we just gotta do it reporter members of the Oakland City Council are taking action to preparing for a vote on an Emergency Declaration being Council Later this week but before that happens councilmembers on the Public Works Committee want to make sure the following questions are answered numb
In for pam moore. Vicki crews are still out, searching the building, but it is believed the bodies of all the victims have been recovered. We have Team Coverage tonight as families and friends cope with this tragedy. Vicki kron4s alecia reid spent the day with friends of the victims hearing their stories. Steve we begin with kron4s jr stone. He is live at the fire scene with brand new information at this time we have emergency reporter that in connection with the oakland warehouse fire that left 36 people dead. Tuesday crews spent the day not only clearing the rubble but focussing their efforts on the back side of this warehouse where they believe the fire started. Sot my understanding is that there is lamps and refrigerators and electrical closely examined all of those. Reporter out of the 36 victims, 30 of those families have been notified about their loved one. Five other families will be notified in the coming hours, and authorities are still working to identify one of the victims.
