BHUBANESWAR: The state is likely to witness a normal rainfall during the monsoon this year that will last from June to September, said IMD s latest forecast released on Tuesday.
For June, the rainfall is also expected to be above normal at most places, the forecast said. The monsoon is likely to hit Kerala coast around June 3. So it s arrival in the state is expected between June 11 and 15, the forecast said. Of four separate region-wise forecast from the IMD headquarter, Odisha comes under central region, which was expected to receive over 106% monsoon rain, said director of regional IMD centre H R Biswas. He said arrival of the monsson in the state would be clear once it hits the hit Kerala coast.
