Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mongolia and the European Union held
their first political dialogue on March 10 in an online format. Representing
Mongolia, B. Munkhjin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs chaired the dialogue.
During the dialogue, the sides expressed positions on
regional and international issues of mutual interest. They also exchanged information specifically on policies and strategies to connect Asia and Europe, and
introduced ongoing projects and programs.
This is the first-ever political dialogue held since the
Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between Mongolia and the European Union entered into force. The dialogue will be annually organized further under
the Mongolia and EU Joint Committee.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On March 10, Chairman of the National Statistics Office (NSO) B.Batdavaa held a virtual meeting with World Bank Country Manager for Mongolia Andrei Mikhnev to discuss partnership.
The NSO Chairman introduced the plans for the statistical sector that has been reflected in the 2021-2025 national development program, and noted the World Bank’s highly significant contribution in the sector’s capacity building and joint implementation of projects and programs. He then put forth a suggestion to partner in introducing the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM).
In turn, Mr. Andrei Mikhnev noted the partnership between the World Bank and Mongolia in the socio-economic sector, and expressed support in digital transition as well as the suggestions made by the NSO.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Singapore T.Lkhagvadorj held a
meeting today with Director General of the Northeast Asia Directorate of the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Singapore Wong Kai Jiun.
During the meeting, the Ambassador presented the postage stamps
issued for the commemoration of the 50
th anniversary of the
diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Singapore.
Moreover, the sides discussed the matters of mutual interest, as
well as bilateral cooperation.
It was reported during today’s press briefing of the Ministry of Health that 109 new cases of COVID-19 were detected after 11,170 tests performed in the past 24 hours nationwide.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. World Archery Federation on March 8 announced the names of Judges to
officiate at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, which will be held in Tokyo, Japan on July 23-31. Mongolian Judge E.Saruul has been appointed
as one of the 14 Judges by the World Archery Judge Committee, becoming the first
ever Mongolian to work as a Judge at Olympic archery.
Mongolian archer B.Otgonbold has been qualified to participate in
the Olympic archery. Archery first
appeared in the Olympic Games in 1900 and contested for 17 times, in which
Mongolia participated eight times.
E.Saruul, 35, has been an archer since 2007 and started her career as
