JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. Service has always been a part of Mark Hinchman s life, but maintaining Colorado s beautiful hiking and biking trails is the Air Force veteran s true labor of love. I like being outdoors. I like being able to do work and get immediate feedback on the quality of work Iâve done, Hinchman said.
Hinchman works the trails and hillsides of JeffCo Open Space, keeping our most beautiful outdoor areas safe and pristine.

AURORA, Colo. â You could say Shani Jones believes in second chances. Or maybe she just believes in people. Most all of them are just as committed as the most committed people youâll know, she said. (They re) trying to get their lives back.
She s talking about people like Lucas Sales. I thought she was amazing, Lucas recalled of his first meeting with Jones.
The pair met at Aurora s Second Chance Center. The nonprofit helps people who were incarcerated re-enter society, connecting them with employment, housing, food and mentoring resources to help break the cycle of incarceration.

AURORA, Colo. â There is nothing quite like the love a dad has for his daughters. Dana Ship is proof of that.
When his daughter, Jayme Ritchie, was young, she d come to work with him. Now it s basically come full circle, he said..
Thirteen years ago, Ritchie started WeeCycle, which recycles essential baby gear and matches it to Colorado families in need. Ship s other daughter, Morgan Seibel, would later become the nonprofit s executive director.
The new venture serves as a hub for Coloradans to watch courtroom reality TV, hit game shows, dramas, and mysteries along with expanded content from Denver7 News, broadcasting the only 8 p.m. news in Colorado.
