FAC organises thanksgiving programme - Eastern Mirror

Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung organised a thanksgiving programme to acknowledge the contributions of all the stakeholders in achieving ‘A’ Grade during the 3rd cycle of NAAC Accreditation earlier this year during a programme held on August 26 at the college auditorium. The college’s principal, Dr. I Wati Imchen, welcomed the various invitees and dignitaries and reminisced on the challenging journey of FAC as the first college in the state to undergo NAAC assessment. Among others, the occasion was graced by the former principals of the college including the former director of Higher Education Kuholi Chishi, Chubayangla, S Arenla Longkumer, Helen Jamir, Dr. Temjenwabang and other retired faculty of the college.  In his speech, Dr. Temjenwabang, during whose tenure the 3rd cycle of NAAC was completed, thanked all the individuals, groups, churches, organisations and stakeholders for coming together and played a big role in the success story of the colleg

Health camp for elderly people conducted in Mokokchung village

Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): Office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Mokokchung, in collaboration with the Mokokchung unit of Indian Red Cross Society (INRS) and Mokokchung Baptist Church, in at Mokokchung village on July 23. An update from the CMO’s office stated that health services such as eye, dental, ortho, audiometry and general medicine were provided during the camp. Besides, random blood sugar, haemoglobin and malaria tests were also conducted on the spot. The IEC team from the CMO’s office delivered health talks and also distributed IEC materials among the beneficiaries during the camp, while the Indian Red Cross Society of Mokokchung district branch distributed blankets to the elderly of the village. The camp was successfully completed with the aid and assistance from doctors, ICRS Mokokchung branch, JRC volunteers, healthcare workers and members from Mokokchung Baptist Church. Altogether, 139 elderly people availed the services provided during the camp.
