Spectacular performance of “Thishole”, a Sümi folksong, by 1400 “Sülimis” (Sümi women) in traditional attire, and a heartwarming rendition of Sümi poem, “Kulolau Sülimi Shekiqhe Leshe”, marked the silver jubilee celebration of Western Sümi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) at Thilixü Village Local Ground, Chümoukedima on Wednesday.

Teachers Day celebrated across Nagaland

EM Bureau Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Teachers’ Day was celebrated across the state to pay tribute to teachers and also to commemorate the birth anniversary of noted scholar and the former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Besides the official Teachers’ Day programme in all the districts, private schools and educational institutions also celebrated the day in their respective institutions. Dimapur: Dimapur district observed common Teachers’ Day celebration at Kuda Youth hall with retired director of higher education, Nagaland, Kuholi Chishi, as special guest. Kuholi in her address reminded the teachers to be well informed, live with integrity and be a teacher of all seasons. FAC organises thanksgiving programme - Eastern Mirror

Dimapur, Aug. 28 (EMN): Fazl Ali College in Mokokchung organised a thanksgiving programme to acknowledge the contributions of all the stakeholders in achieving ‘A’ Grade during the 3rd cycle of NAAC Accreditation earlier this year during a programme held on August 26 at the college auditorium. The college’s principal, Dr. I Wati Imchen, welcomed the various invitees and dignitaries and reminisced on the challenging journey of FAC as the first college in the state to undergo NAAC assessment.
