People are rallying to save a 122-year-old British-colonial school in the middle of Kuala Lumpur from city developers.
The online petition
Save SMK Convent Bukit Nanas has gotten more than 12,000 signatures since it went up last night, calling for the need to preserve the rich history of the all-girls school’s building, which was erected in 1899 by three sisters from a Roman catholic institute, the Congregation of the Holy Infant Jesus.

SINGAPORE, Jan 15 A representative from the now-defunct attraction Underwater World Singapore pleaded guilty yesterday to several safety lapses, which surfaced after a veteran diver died in 2016 from being stung in the chest by a stingray.
The company’s failings did not directly lead to Philip Chan’s death, which had been ruled a tragic misadventure by a coroner in 2017.
