For the first time since its inception in the 1960s, the Shiv Sena will have an MP from outside Maharashtra with the party nominee Kalaben Delkar winning the bypoll to the Dadra and Nagar Haveli (ST) Lok Sabha seat on Tuesday.
Diwali 2021 promises to be a sparkler for the Shiv Sena-led Maha Vikas Aghadi, which will complete two years in office on November 28, in the face of regular threats by the opposing BJP to topple its government.
Out of 29 assembly seats, the BJP was holding around half a dozen, the Congress had nine, while the rest were with the regional parties. The counting of votes will take place on November 2.
