New Delhi: The former President of India Pranab Mukherjee in his book ‘The Presidential Year 2012-2017’ revealed that he was against the bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh and the formation of Telangana State.
In the autobiography, Mukherjee said that he was not in favour of a separate ‘Telangana State’. But, ironically, the bifurcation of united AP was done under his signature which he never imagined.
TS: 25 lakhs youth enrolled for government jobs

Hyderabad: The TS government announcement to fill up 50 thousand vacancies lead to optimism among the State’s youth. Till now 25 lakh youths have enrolled their name on Telangana Public Service Commission introduced ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR). They include 15 lakhs men and 10 lakh women. About 1,81,820 youths of other states too enrolled in OTR.
As far the age group of the those applied, the number of those is in the group of 20 is 7,32,182; and those between 21 – 25 their number is 8,71,577; the number of those in 30 age group is about 5 lakhs; the number of those between 31 is 35 is 2,34,160, and the number of those in 36 – 40 is more than one lakh.

Hyderabad: A new coronavirus research may render people more alert and force them to observe guidelines more strictly. Hyderabad’s research lab, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) has conducted a research study in cooperation with Chandigarh’s Institute of Microbial Technology (IMT) in both these cities about the presence of the virus in the air.
The study found that the virus remains in the air and can infect anyone. The research was conducted in three hospitals in these cities to find out the presence of coronavirus in Covid and non-Covid wards. The study found the presence of coronavirus in the air of Covid wards.
Scam in AP Urdu Academy: Two officials arrested

Hyderabad: Two officials of Andhra Pradesh Urdu Academy have been arrested and were sent to the Judicial custody in connection with the misappropriation of funds.
The AP Minority Welfare Secretary Ilyas Rizwi said that some appointments were made without government approval and salaries were released.
In response to complaints, the CBCID was tasked to conduct an inquiry which leads to the arrest of Minority Department’s Dy. Director Mastan Wali and the Superintendent of Urdu Academy Shaikh Jaffer.
