BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has been summoned by the Chhattisgarh state police at the Civil Line police station on 23rd May at 4 pm for questioning over the âtoolkitâ issue. Patra has been asked to either physically or virtually be present in the police station and he has been warned of legal action in case of absence.
The National Students Union of India (NSUI), Congressâ studentsâ wing, had filed an FIR against former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and Patra for allegedly forging the AICC Research Departmentâs letterhead and for printing content that was false and fabricated.

The FIR against the BJP leaders was lodged at Bajaj Nagar Police Station in Jaipur by Rajasthan Congress secretary Jaswant Gurjar. The Congress leader has accused BJP of indulging in politics of lies, deceit and hypocrisy.
The development comes two days after BJP released a toolkit , claiming it to be made by Congress to tarnish the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Centre over the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
A plea has been moved in the Supreme Court seeking direction for an investigation into the Toolkit . The plea also sought suspension of registration of Congress party, if charges against the party for indulging in anti-national acts and playing with lives of people were found true.
