Mobile Downtown Airport to get upgraded runways thanks to $9.1 million grant

The Mobile Airport Authority recently announced that Mobile’s Downtown Airport will get more than $9 million for upgrades to its primary runway.
Runway 14/32 will be upgraded thanks to a $9.1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation, according to a press release. The runway will receive resurfacing, upgraded lighting and more.
