I examined the display for a long time. In front of me, the exhibit and story boards told the remarkable story of Maj. Fred Hargesheimer, a World War II P-38 pilot.
Many of us in the area may be familiar with Hargesheimer’s tale of survival, but no matter how many times you hear it, it’s extraordinary.
New to experience in Rochester is the display by the Veterans & Emergency Services Museum (VESM) on the Hilton Rochester’s main floor. The Hilton is located at 10 East Center St.
