For its reopening March 20, the Bloomingdale Park Museum is hosting an exhibit titled Parodies of Painting Masterworks.
The exhibition features several hundred examples of well-known fine art paintings, altered, taken out of context, and re-used in cartoon strips, appropriated for other art pieces, etc.
The show is organized by artist, with a copy of an original painting accompanied by other works which parody that original.
The Bloomingdale Park District Museum is pleased to announce its re-opening with an exhibit titled “Parodies of Painting Masterworks,” beginning March 20.
