haven t really tried the police because i know that they ve been swamped and the red cross is swamped, as well. so we don t really know who to call. it seems like we put out the word for help and we sit here and we kind of wait and see what happens. anybody else rescued from your area? all i know is that they have sent the national guard out. i know there s been people riding around in boats. we ve seen some helicopters earlier today. i just hope there s a lot of people in boats heading out. people telling me they re coming from new york city and colorado, a group is coming in from chicago with their own personal stuff. basically just trying to get the word out to make sure that nobody else has to lose their life or anything in this storm. because it s getting a lot worse
re-entry and how good is their aim? you remember that may 14th launch, that missile didn t have fins up on the front of its nose. which doesn t give it a whole lot of directional maneuverability when it is coming back down. it is not to say it can t cause damage, but they don t have exact aim on it and that s another thing that they ll be assessing at the pentagon overnight and in hawaii in the next coming hours. what are you hearing about the options here that the military could have to counter this aggression? all of the options they have would lead to such high civilian loss of life, the pentagon officials are frankly uncomfortable about them. they don t talk about them publicly. obviously their contemplating them. you look at the amount of artillery north korea has on the 48th parallel, a lot of it is mobile artillery, before you can take the pieces out, north korea could cause a lot of damage on the city of seoul, 40 million people there. within artillery range, there is the u
the missile did not work because as u.s. officials and commanders and experts have said, every time north korea tests a weapon t , it gets closer to perfecting it. the fact that this missile didn t go off it s kind of crowd pleasing in the sense that everybody can say oh, it failed. but i don t think it should give anyone any comfort that the missile failed because there is a, you know, point in time where it won t fail. that s really the kind of worse case scenario. and as the colonel said, there are military options that the u.s. can do both in terms of some kind of retaliatory action, but in terms of a preemptive strike on the launch pads or, you know, we have they use the mother of all bombs last week in afghanistan, there s also what they call the mop. this penetrating bomb that goes into a bunker and could either, you know, explode that way. there are other types of electronic devices that could explode. but i think the consequences of
stopped awkwardly on purpose. that was at least just during the dress rehearsal. during the actual v.e. day parade, it drove like a dream. no more stalls, no problems. frankly almost every piece of russian weaponry was impressive and imposing. almost every piece performed flawlessly. it was a different model this time and a different problem, but this time this other tank the problem was it caught on fire. it s never good. would be bad enough if it wasn t also a tank carrying missiles while it was on fire. the tank was successfully towed away. the missile didn t blow up. a couple of rough moments for one of the world s biggest weaponry suppliers.
stopped awkwardly on purpose. no, i swear we meant it. that was at least just during the dress rehearsal. that was just during practice. the good news is during the actual v.e. day parade, the new tank drove like a dream. no more stalls, no problems. frankly almost every piece of russian weaponry in the giant parade was impressive and imposing as i m sure they were supposed to be. almost every piece performed flawlessly. those darn tanks. it was a different model this time and a different problem, but this time this other tank the problem was it caught on fire. by it s never good. it would be bad enough if this tank that caught on fire wasn t also a tank carrying missiles while it was on fire. the tank was successfully towed away. the missile didn t blow up. a couple of rough moments for one of the world s biggest weaponry suppliers. all was not lost though.
