Two new stores from Butler Enterprises are now open.
Tillys, a leading retailer specializing in casual apparel, footwear and accessories is now open in Butler North at 3965 Plaza Blvd., Suite 50. The west coast brand carries an assortment of brands popular with young women and men, as well as children. The products are rooted in an active and social lifestyle.
After losing her first husband to a work-related accident in 1975, June Thornberry Raine was a working widow with children.
âShe was committed to making sure that her kids had the opportunity in life to succeed,â said Marty Fulkerson, ElizabethÂtown city councilman and a friend of Thornberry Raine.
By that point, Thornberry Raine already had begun a long career in banking, and would become a formidable part of the Hardin County community.
Thornberry Raine died Sunday at Atria in Elizabethtown with her family there. She was 94.
According to her obituary, she was born on July 10, 1926, and married her first husband, Jimmy Thornberry, in 1949.
