Protesting against alleged indifference of the Centre towards the proposed Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at Jeypore, local MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati has demanded that construction should start immediately. With over 20 central offices and available infrastructure, Jeypore deserves a KV. But the Union government is deliberately neglecting it. On several occasions, I have personally approached Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan for opening of the KV in Jeypore, but to no avail. If the demand is not fulfilled, then bandh will be observed at Jeypore town and Koraput district and the Union minister will be responsible for it.
