NORTH CALDWELL - The West Essex Regional Board of Education postponed a decision on changing the district s 2021-22 calendar at a special meeting Friday, Dec. 11.
Board member Jann Skelton said she would support changing the calendar, approved at the board s meeting Monday, Dec. 7, so the first day of school does not fall on the second day of the Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah.
Board President Maryadele Wojtowicz said the administration had received several emails asking for a change and the board would discuss it at the next meeting.
Superintendent Damion Macioci said the administration would review the issue and make a recommendation at the board s next meeting.
