FLORIDA STATE WRAPS UP FSU RELAYS WITH TOP NATIONAL PERFORMANCES/ MULLARKEY RUNS NCAA BEST IN RALEIGH

The Annual FSU Track & Field Relays finished Saturday afternoon with impressive performances throughout the field that included eight collegiate teams.  The Seminoles posted several Top Five national marks by both men and women. Florida State’s men’s 4x100 relay team consisting of Taylor Banks, Amir Willis, Jovaughn Martin and Ismael Kone is already emerging as one of the nation’s top teams.  The four flew around the track winning with a time of 39.04 which is the second fastest time in the NCAA this year. Senior Milton Ingraham has also had an outstanding start to the outdoor season winning the discus with a throw of 60.45 meters that is not only the third-best in the nation this season but is the third-longest in Florida State history. FSU also took the win in the men’s 400 meters with senior James Rivera powering past the field with a winning time of 51.51. MILTON INGRAHAM WINS DISCUS AT AUBURN TRACK CLASSIC

AUBURN, Ala.   Milton Ingraham’s win in the men’s discus led Florida State’s track and field throwers at the Auburn Classic on Saturday. Ingraham, a senior from Miami Gardens, Fla., had the field’s longest throw of 56.68 meters in the discus.  Ingraham was second team All-ACC honor in the event as a junior in 2022 and was a first team performer in 2001. Redshirt sophomore Jacob Hoeffner finished third in the discus with a throw of 49.29 meters. Riley Simmon finished sixth in the women’s discus with a best effort of 40.06 meters and was ninth in the shot put with a throw of 12.98 meters. Florida State will host the FSU Relays March 24-25 at Mike Long Track in Tallahassee, Fla., while the Seminole distance runners will travel to Raleigh, N.C. for the Raleigh Relays on the same dates. www.seminoles.com        

SIMMONS TAKE 7TH IN HAMMER THROW AT AUBURN CLASSIC

Florida State sophomore Riley Simmons finished seventh in the women's hammer throw at the Auburn Classic in Auburn, Ala. on Friday. Simmons posted a longest throw of 47.14 meters in her first outdoor competition of the season.  The Bradenton, Fla., native is in her first year at FSU after transferring from Mississippi State where she redshirted last year. The former FHSAA 4A state champion in the shot put and runner-up in the discuss finished 16th in the weight throw at the ACC Indoor Champions with a throw of 13.77 meters. Simmons will compete in the shot put and discus Saturday at the Auburn Classic along with teammate Amani Heaven. DURHAM, N.C. - The Florida State men's track and field team put together one of the most dominant performances in ACC history in route to their second-straight ACC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. The Noles scored 149 points, the most since the league expanded to 15 teams, and won by 56 points, the largest margin of victory since league expansion. The women's team finished third with 99 points. Jeremiah Davis (men's field) and Edidiong Odiong (women's track) were each named Most Valuable Performers which is given the athlete who scored the most points throughout the championship. It takes everyone to accomplish something like this. Coaches, support staff, trainers, massage therapists and administration, everyone is a part of this, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Noles Men on Top Going into Championship Saturday

DURHAM, N.C - The Florida State track and field team put together great performances on both the track and the field on day two of the ACC Outdoor Championships in Durham, N.C. The men are on top of the team standings with 50 points while the women are in eighth with 24 points. I'm really pleased with how we are performing so far. We are just feeding off each other in each event, Head Coach Bob Braman said. We had a great day of qualifying. We've put ourselves in really good position for tomorrow, and I couldn't be more pleased. Riley Ott kicked things off on Friday with a gutsy performance in the decathlon. Ott posted personal bests in the 110m hurdles (15.44), the discus throw (32.14m), the javelin throw (51.05m) and the 1500m run (4:40.21) in route to a personal best score of 7105 points to earn him third.
