Georgia, alabama, and south carolina. Flooding rains continue and a storm surge along the southeast coast. Tornadoes are also possible as the storm winds down. It should continue to weaken tonight and no longer a Tropical Storm by tomorrow. It was another warm to hot day around the bay area and muggy too. Thunderstorms moved in late and continue to be a possibility tonight tnat and over the next few days. Thunderstorms are coming up out of the south. They will be isolated but we could occasionaly see lightning and a few showers too through wednesday. You can see the area of low pressure off the coast. It will begin to slide north bringing unsettled weather across the area. Highs tomorrow will be warm and muggy with numbers in the 80s inland, 70s and 80s around the bay and 60s and 70s at the coast. About 15 minutes ago this was the moment of silence held in new york. We showed that to you at the top of the show. This was the moment of silence held when the first plane hit the north tower. And the ceremony reading of the names started earlier this morning. An honor guard made up of people representing the new York City Fire department, the police and other Emergency Response agencies all participating this morning. And heres some video of another moment of silence. This was held at 9 03 eastern time, about an hour ago our time, when the second plane struck the south tower of the World Trade Center. Broken jaw. It wasnt discovered until it manifested in what appeared to be an abscessed tooth. Reporter a spokesperson told abc7 news garcia got injured during a fight with another inmate. Powell says garcia told them there was an inmate on inmate scuffle, but it was later and lasted 30 seconds. He said i already had the blood on my face. Reporter in a statement, a Sheriffs Office spokesperson said our detectives are blocking at the evidence and documents to determine if there were any issues with the original documentation. Powell says he will file a civil lawsuit that will name the county, and two correctional deputies. He may be representing additional inmates in the near future. You cant discount these stories. There are too many of them. Reporter the attorney told me he is considering filing a march type of claim. Was added to the list of places under mandatory evacuations. Here are the numbers right now. About 50,000 acres have gone up. At least six buildings have been destroyed. There are a number of 6,000 buildings threatened and 2700 people in the process of evacuating. I can tell you right now that, um, um, an Evacuation Center has been set up at the county fairgrounds, frog town if you know where that is in angels camp and at the Jackson Rancheria casino. The chp has essentially closed highway 4 anywhere east of highway 49. So if you know anybody in the towns of murphys or in arnold or avery or Mountain Ranch or sheep ranch road or any of those communities, they are under mandatory evacuation and are told to get out now.
