MILL HALL Driving a recreational vehicle in Mill Hall Borough could require pre-approval.
Reacting to complaints about people driving or riding recreational vehicles such as ATVs and dirt bikes whereever they want despite an existing ordinance restricting it council last week voted 5-1 to amend the law regulating the activity and adding a stipulation that requires neighbors’ consent.
The restriction was given tentative approval, not final adoption.
Voting for the amendment on Jan. 26 were Councilmembers Karen Houser, Dan McCloskey, Rainelle Wallace, Fred Bucheit and Karla Hoy.
Council President Anthony Walker voted no.
Councilman John Gugliociello Jr. was absent.
The council will need to vote again to adopt it as an amendment to the borough ordinance.

BRUNGARD
Carol Ann Brungard, 76, formerly of Mill Hall passed away Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020 at Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte.
Born Sept. 4, 1944 of Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Vaugn and Loas (Laubscher) Williams.
She graduated from Lock Haven High School in 1962 and then earned her nursing degree from Poly Clinic Nursing School.
In 1969, Carol married her love, Harold L. “Big Lou” Brungard, Jr., with whom she shared 51 years of marriage before his passing on Jan. 9, 2019.
She was a Registered Nurse at Lock Haven Hospital, from where she retired after serving in various departments of the hospital throughout the years as well as in Community Nursing.
