Bulldozed dirt. That stood between the flames and homes. Is a big concern yesterday and last night that we might have a thunderstorm event that could create a dry lightning and increase winds along the ground. The weather conditions never materialized and lines of defense held. It did not mean that neighbors who had stayed behind slept easily. Or at all. What we did was we slept in shifts to watch and Pay Attention to what was going on. Well, what is it going to take to get that fire out finally . Any idea . First of all they will need some help from mother nature. One of the ironies is on the map it is the biggest of all of the fires plaguing the bay area, but in terms of actual Property Damage it might be the least destructive burning in some open woodlands away from homes generally speaking. What firefighters are ultimately going to need to do is look at the map, figure out where they can set up some defenses in terms of where the fire is headed, and hopefully get it to burn itself
