The Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Pratima Bhoumik, addressed a review meeting in Guwahati regarding the ongoing Central Government’s public welfare schemes.
To create mutually beneficial relationship and Capacity Building for the Cooperative sector, the agri cooperative giant NAFED signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Centre for Cooperatives & Livelihood (CCL), Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. It was signed at the headquarters of Nafed in Delhi.
Under the MoU, NAFED will provide seed capital to LBSNAA’s corpus. The MoU will give an impetus to the ongoing research on the role of the Cooperative movement specifically in the area of Agriculture & Agribusiness promotion, with the objective of doubling farmers income & will enhance livelihood generation at the grassroots level.
