Greetings from Capps. Last week saw the return of the glowing yellow orb and warmer temperatures, almost T-Shirt weather. The road patches by ARDOT 392 and Boone County at Creel didn t last long. It s starting to look a bit lunar in the area. They don t plan to resurface Hwy 392 through Capps and Batavia until 2026 the last time I checked. I d like to believe that Northwest Arkansas isn t the state s "stepchild" when it comes to road projects ( unless of course they re in the I-49 corridor) but it sure seems that way sometimes. The memorial service for Mildred Sparks was held at Capps Full Gospel Church on Tuesday. The work continues on the fellowship hall there at the church. Coincidentally, the fellowship hall at Restoration Life Fellowship in Batavia is getting a major renovation done as well.
