Flin Flon’s newly elected city council now knows who will look after what. The six councillors agreed to committee appointments earlier this month, determining who will sit on the City's three main council committees and other spots.
The votes have been counted. According to election officials, George Fontaine will be Flin Flon's next mayor and five of the six spots on council will be occupied by new faces.
Flin Flonners have their first chance to cast a ballot today. Advance polls for mayoral and city council elections are open today until 8 p.m. at City Hall.
