i think we can all agree with that. this is not an ideal way to function. i think most american voters would agree they are sick of this. what will happen here and will anybody pay the price? there aren t a lot of certainties about what we re going to see in final deal. there are two certainties. you heard mike lay out the options there. none of those options will result in $5 billion for the wall as president trump said that he wanted and said he was willing to shut down the government to get. the second certainty is president trump will nonetheless try to find way to frame this as a victory for him. whether it s in the way of shifting the rhetoric about what type of border they wanted whether it s wall or steel slat or as nancy pelosi joked, a beaded curtain.
