The place was founded in 1925 and the jesuits at Santa Clara University which was Santa Clara College back then, decided that they wanted to have a place where at that time, men could go on retreat. Temperatures in the 50s along the coast, 60s inland. Monsoonal moisture to the south is going to cause our temperatures to shake up. We are going to see temperatures jump in fact about 10 degrees.
