Mifflin County Regional Police Department ¯Public intoxication and disorderly conduct 7:27 p.m. May 7 Officers were dispatched to the rear of 101 South Logan Blvd. in Burnham for a reported fight in progress. Upon arrival, Officers located Jose A. Bonilla, 51-year-old male from Burnham, and James T. Dvorak, 59-year-old male from California, engaged in a fight. Officers found both men to be highly intoxicated. Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct. ¯Fugitive apprehended 11:09 p.m. May 8 Officers received information that Justice E. Blessing, 25-year-old female from Lewistown, was currently at the Crown Motel in Derry Township. Officers had information that Blessing was a fugitive from justice. Vehicle crashes into home | News, Sports, Jobs

aharpster@lewistownsentinel.com LEWISTOWN- Emergency crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Sunday at 6:30 a.m., on 1409 US Hwy 522 North. It was reported that a vehicle had struck an occupied single-story residence with several trapped inside the residence. Crews arrived on scene and began to extricate the occupants of the residence and the vehicle operator. Police determined that a 2009 Audi operated by Katie Hammond, 31, of Lewistown, was traveling southbound on US 522 when it left the roadway and struck several parked cars before going airborne and crashed into the home of the Todaro family. The structure sustained severe damage. Hammond’s vehicle also sustained severe front-end damage. No occupants of the home were injured as a result of the crash. Hammond was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for treatment. Two teens charged in Biden barn fire | News, Sports, Jobs

ethompson@lewistownsentinel.com REEDSVILLE A 19-year-old man has been charged with arson for his alleged involvement in causing a fire that burned down the “Biden barn” in the early morning hours of March 6 in Brown Township. One 15-year-old has also been taken into custody for involvement. Michael Rogers Kauffman, of Yeagertown, is being charged with felonies arson of a historic resource, possession of an explosive material, two counts of criminal mischief and misdemeanor and recklessly endangering another person. According to a report from Mifflin County Regional Police Department, the juvenile was turned over to Mifflin County Probation officers and transported to the youth detention center in Centre County. The juvenile also faces numerous felony counts of arson and related charges.

aharpster@lewistownsentinel.com REEDSVILLE- Mifflin County Regional Police took a fifteen-year-old male juvenile and a nineteen-year-old male into custody late afternoon on Saturday. The nineteen-year-old is identified as Michael R. Kauffman, originally from Mifflintown. According to a media release from Mifflin County Regional Police Department, “Regional Officer Corporal Robert Haines received information referencing two possible suspects in this case. Detective Jessica Aurand and Patrolman Christopher Kaniecki continued the investigation, building a strong case against two suspects. “ The media release states “Kauffman was arraigned on numerous felony counts of arson and related charges by MDJ Kent Smith and lodged in the Mifflin County Prison. The juvenile was turned over to Mifflin County Probation Officers and transported to the youth detention center in Centre County. The juvenile also faces numerous felony counts of arson and related charges.”
