Meet Nash! This handsome 2.5-year-old Shepherd mix was brought to the Sanctuary as a stray after a good Samaritan got him neutered and up to date on vaccines! Nash loves to play with other dogs and does a great job matching the other dog's energy. He loves to go on walks and would be a wonderful dog for someone who is active and loves to be outdoors. He has high exercise requirements and would need his adopter to not only have a fenced-in yard but be committed to taking him on daily long walks. Nash does not like to be alone for long periods of time and has been known to dig out of a fence when bored or anxious. Here at the Sanctuary, we have found that he does much better when he has a yard mate and would recommend that his adopter either have another dog to be his companion, or adopt him with one of his buddies here at the sanctuary. Meet Winter! This girl has the beautiful markings of a Catahoula Leopard dog and gorgeous eyes, one blue and one brown! Her sweet disposition and playful nature makes her the perfect companion and family dog! She was dumped with her sister Summer and brought to the Sanctuary. Winter loves people and dog attention and would be a great companion to a dog that needs a play buddy! She is a great car rider and she gives the best kisses! At only one year old, Winter would benefit from basic obedience training and would need to be crate trained. She is learning to walk on a leash and is doing pretty well! Winter would need her adopter to have a house with a fenced in yard to help get her energy out. Due to her gentle nature, we think she would be fine with children but we are unsure about cats.
