This little pup has been through a lot but has maintained her sweetness! Sunday got her name because she was dumped at the Lonestar Sanctuary For Animals gate on Fairgrounds Road in Midland a Sunday morning before they opened
Meet Oliver! Oliver is a three-year-old male Dachshund-Hound mix. He was brought in as a stray after someone dumped him in a yard. Oliver, or Ollie as the staff likes to call him, has quickly won the hearts of everyone who works at the Sanctuary! He has the sweetest personality and just loves everyone! Oliver appears to be housebroken as he doesn't go potty in his kennel and waits to be let outside. He would be a great family dog as he loves to be around people. Oliver is also good with other dogs and hasn't been tested with cats. Oliver's adopters would need to have a house with a fenced-in yard for him to run and play. Come meet him in person starting Wednesday 5/4.
Normally we only tell you about one animal a week but today we get to tell you about three! Andy, Bobo, and Howard are the three remaining puppies out of the original eight of the Pit/Lab litter over at Lone Star Sanctuary For Animals! They have watched as all of their siblings got adopted one by one while they remained at the Sanctuary. It's unclear why these beautiful puppies have been overlooked, but we are hoping to get the word out to get them the loving home they each deserve.
Meet Mesquite! She is a sweet 5-month-old pit mix puppy with energy to spare! Mesquite loves people and playing with her canine friends! She is going to be a big girl once she is finished growing so her adopter would need to have a fence with a nice sized yard. Mesquite was found out in the Mesquite by the Sanctuary and was very underweight and hungry! She is a beautiful dog with a very sweet personality! All she wants is attention and love! Mesquite does better with dogs her size or larger. She is very jumpy so we don't recommend her for children under the age of seven. We have not tested her with cats. Like all puppies, Mesquite would benefit greatly from some basic obedience training. If you are looking for a sweet energetic puppy who will grow to be your loyal companion, come meet Mesquite during visiting hours of 1-4:30pm everyday except Thursdays.
