RANDOLPH, Wis. This week marked the one-year anniversary of the World Health Organization declaring the coronavirus a worldwide pandemic.
It’s been a year of learning as we go for health officials. The doctor leading UW Health’s COVID-19 response is Dr. Jeff Pothof, the Chief Quality Officer at UW Health.
Over the past year, Wisconsin residents have seen Dr. Pothof everywhere in the media offering information and advice on the pandemic. “It’s really been about this is what we know and this is what we want you to know to keep your family safe,” Pothof said.

The professional soccer team is launching the Accessimingos, a first-of-its-kind fan club for people living with disabilities. Founded by three fans- Tyler Engel, Brian Messman and Bill Schultz – who use wheelchairs, the Accessimingos will focus on creating an inclusive environment for FMFC’s disabled supporters.
“The three of us tend to find ourselves sitting next to each other in the Flock End, so we wanted our experience to be shared by more people,” Schultz said. “Soccer’s a game for everyone, and as folks with disabilities, we’ve enjoyed our time supporting Forward Madison immensely.”

The principal at Darlington High School, Aaron Lancaster, died Saturday after a battle with leukemia. He was 48. Lancaster was a 1990 graduate of Darlington High School where he excelled as a 4-sport athlete in football, basketball, baseball, and track. Following high school, Lancaster attended Northern Iowa University on a football scholarship for a year and a half, before transferring to UW-Platteville to play basketball and was a member of the 1995 National Championship team. He was also an assistant coach for the 1999 National Championship team. Lancaster became a teacher and coach at Highland High School, and later was a teacher and coach at Pecatonica schools in Blanchardville. In 2010, Lancaster became Principal at Pecatonica High School. In 2015, Lancaster became Principal at Darlington High School and served as Athletic Director and as an assistant basketball coach. Lancaster and his wife, Denise, had 3 sons. A visitation for A
