DC Chümoukedima notifies public Dimapur, Sep. 16 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, has informed all the concerned land owners, other government and non-governmental agencies whose land and other properties have been acquired under Section 9(2) of the Nagaland Land Requisition and Acquisition Act 1965 for extension of 4 lane NH 29 Dimapur-Kohima and the 4 lane bypass Daboka-Dimapur section to vacate/ remove building, plantations, fisheries and any other standing structure on the compensated area within 15 days from the date of issue of this notice to enable execution of 4 lane work smoothly. Our Correspondent Kohima, Aug. 14 (EMN): On the 75th anniversary (76th year) of Naga declaration of independence, Gen. (Retd.) Viyalie Metha, Kedahge, Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) said Nagas are able to celebrate a great achievement through God’s blessing and protection, while remembering the sufferings, losses and sacrifices endured and given by the Naga people, starting from the 1950s till date. However, he said the challenge is upon the youths of the present generation to come forward to shoulder the national responsibility and “make Nagaland our dream”.
