Mid-State Health Center helps to administer COVID vaccine at weekend clinic
April 01, 2021PLYMOUTH On Saturday, March 20, the New Hampshire Public Health Network hosted its second COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Mid-State Health Center s Boulder Point location in Plymouth. This one-day clinic provided more than 600 community members who were eligible under Phase 1A and 1B with their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine following a prior clinic held at Mid-State earlier in February.
Mid-State s Medical Director, Dr. David Fagan states, Mid-State partnered with the New Hampshire Public Health Network to vaccinate 611 community members in one day. Mid-State s team mobilized to contact over 3,000 people from lists of those eligible, helped recruit vaccinators, prepared lunches and baked goods for workers, and set up traffic cones and Wi-Fi in its parking lot, all in its efforts to help stop the spread of COVID. Mid-State received just over $15,000 in GOFFER Funding through the State s COVID-19 Relief Fund for the Community Support Program. Many of those in our community rely on local food banks and community resources to obtain their food, and once affected by the COVID-19 virus and required to quarantine, the resources that they commonly seek become inaccessible, shared Samantha Hooper who is leading the program implementation.
