When its closed down, the only thing its closed down to is bodily contact, so you can still go out on the boat, but we dont reccommend swimming, we dont even allow swimming for that 5 days. The lake cant operate. When theres an overflow from a storm. We sample the lake for 5 days, we send it off for testing to ensure there are no contaminants that would be harmful to any human contact with the lake. The lake closed on tuesday. After rain flooded parts of the valley. Water that came in a half hour over the nellis area and then it finally ended up here which is the way it usually does.
