Jackson bicyclist injured in wreck with car

A bicyclist was injured Wednesday evening after a wreck with a car near the intersection of Snow King Avenue and Stacy Lane in Jackson. The collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. and the bicyclist was taken to the hospital by ambulance, said Jackson Police Chief Michelle Weber. It wasn t immediately clear what type of injuries the bicyclist suffered or the severity, but Weber said they were breathing when taken to the hospital. Officers at the scene were called to another crash in town and were likely to have to follow up with the bicyclist at the hospital and the driver, who was uninjured, to get their statements about the wreck, Weber said.
