Tonight a Clermont County student is speaking out supporting her teacher who is accused of slapping another student in the classroom while trying to break up an argument. 9 on your sides ashley zilka is live at live oaks and tells us why the student says the ordeal has been blown out of proportion. The slapping happened here at live oaks last thursday. The teacher in question is on paid administrative leave while an investigation takes place. But i spoke to one student who says her teacher did nothing wrong. The incident occured when two girls got into an argument in a cosmetology classroom. The teacher stepped in to break it up and thats when the alleged slapping occurred. The students family says the teacher slapped her once in the face, then apologized, saying her motherly instincts kicked in. The building did not have fire sprinklers. Heres tony dokoupil. Reporter at about 2 15 p. M. On friday, fire tore through the 20th floor of this beachview highrise in honolulu. Sending flames and smoke skyward as flames ran down more than 20 stories including residents, and children and the elderly ran for safety. It was horrendous. It was flames shooting out and black smoke. Re reporter by night fall the fire had eaten its way through the 29th floor. I heard three or four womens voices screaming. Help me help me, help me. Reporter three people died and a dozen were injured before more than 100 firefighters scrambled, and in some cases crawled into position to control one flames.
