Deadline to register to vote is today | News, Sports, Jobs

LOCK HAVEN It’s deadline day. Today is the deadline to sign up for Pennsylvania residents wishing to vote in the May 18 municipal primary election. On Saturday, Clinton County Government posted a reminder on its Facebook page. It read: The Deadline to Register to vote or to update your Voter Registration before the Municipal Primary Election is Monday, May 3, 2021. The Clinton County Board of Elections encourages all eligible Clinton County voters to make sure they are registered and that the information is up to date. Voters can choose the online voter registration system at www.votespa.com or obtain a copy of the voter registration form at the Clinton County Piper Building located at 2 Piper Way in Lock Haven.

LOCK HAVEN Clinton County residents now have the option of bypassing security at the Piper Building by using a walk-up window to access the Clinton County Treasurer’s Office. Residents can pay taxes, purchase licenses, and handle any other business needed through the window. The window was purchased with CARES funding in an effort to give the community access without entering the building. The new walk-up offers a slide out service drawer, and intercom system, and a shelf customers can use to fill out paperwork.

County's hourly employees receive 2.5 percent pay raise | News, Sports, Jobs

LAURA JAMESON ljameson@lockhaven.com LOCK HAVEN Non-salary, full-time county employees received a 2.5 percent increase across the board to start off 2021. The increase for an employee making over $100,000 is 0.5 percent. Chief Clerk Jann Meyers said the county employs only one person in the IT Department who qualifies for the lower rate. The Clinton County Salary Board made up of commissioners Miles Kessinger, Jeff Snyder and Angela Harding and Treasurer Michelle Kunes –unanimously approved the action at Monday’s meeting. Along with the increase, the board approved a resolution for President Judge Craig P. Miller’s office to compensate Clinton County Adult and Juvenile Probation Officers, as follows:
