Michele Stilwell’s daughter ordered an Uber to take her mother to her St. Petersburg home from an event in Tampa. The woman slept for the first 20 minutes or so, but Stilwell suddenly woke up and started strangling the driver from the back seat. She screamed, “Die!” The 22-year-old driver yelled back, “I’m just your Uber driver!” He didn’t fight back. He later told police, “I have two sisters and I was raised to never put my hands on a female.” Once he was able to pull over, various witnesses took video and photos of the attack, which continued for several minutes. The driver suffered various injuries, including some missing flesh on his neck: Stilwell allegedly bit it off. She was arrested. Her husband would later say his wife doesn’t remember what she did.
