PUEBLO â You can pick free food in Pueblo.
CSU Extension and the Pueblo Food Project have worked together to develop edible landscapes.
The groups say the project serves two purposes.
The first is to show what foods can be grown in Pueblo and the other is for people to pick the fruit, veggies, or herbs when they are ripe for the picking. We want people to feel like they don t have the space at their homes to grow vegetables that there is a place that they can come out, pick it and have access to it, Michele Hayes said.
Weekend Arrests in Fayette County
The Fayette County Sheriff s Office has arrested 3 area people involved in separate weekend incidents.
At about 11pm Saturday (May 22), 26 year old Alyssa Garrison of Clermont was taken into custody on a warrant from the Department of Corrections. Garrison had been put on escaped status from the West Union Residential Facility. Garrison is being held in the Fayette County jail on no bond. The sheriff was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.

Shortly after 1pm Saturday, a Dunkerton woman, 57 year old Michele Hayes, drove herself to the Fayette County jail to visit an inmate. The officer who checked Hayes driver s license, noted that her license had previously been suspended. Hayes was taken into custody at the Fayette County jail for the charge of Driving While her License is Suspended.
