As the weekend is beginning in the east with a deadly storm. Hermine made landfall this morning in northern florida as a hurricane, the first to hit that state since 2005. A man was killed by a fallen tree. Storm, churning up the coast with torrential rain, damaging wind and dangerous seas. We have a team on hermines trail, beginning with Omar Villafranca in port richey, florida. Reporter hurricane hermine barreled into the Sunshine State around 2 00 a. M. This morning. The deadly storm flooded entire neighborhoods. Wind gusts of up to 80 Miles Per Hour snapped trees, one of which fell on top of a homeless man, killing him. Yeah, well, were just a few weeks away from election day and here in santa clara county, there is a group whos focusing on trying to get people who live in lowincome areas, especially women to get out and vote. We love the november elections just a few weeks away, a coalition of community activists, including the black leadership kitchen cabinet, the Latino Coalition of Silicon Valley and people acting in Community Together are working to encourage neighbors the vote. They say that areas with low voter turnout across the county often have the highest rates of poverty. So they are creating the together. We Vote Campaign to encourage people to register to vote, to fill out and send in mailin ballots and to help educate people on the issues. They will be voting on our boats. Superintendent funk says the wifi is likely coming from a neighborhood where one resident filed a claim against the district. Alleging damage from the construction project to modernize the school. So im not 100 sure that its the person but core incident does seem like it is since filing the claim that neighbor has installed cameras facing the school to actually point a camera to face classrooms. I just find that unethical. And funk says the cameras a allowed because its on the individuals private property and the school also had to install cameras facing that persons home. And the reason why we those cameras is because so our employees have been hit by eggs that were thrown this backyard. 2 occasions, we have hundreds of nails that were dropped in the road. A

Along the bay shore and then a hotter stuff inland. All of it lines up pretty well again today. As you can see, weve definitely got the fog again this morning in San Francisco. Cant see any of the transamerica building there in the distance. Just rounded out in this low grade that again stretches from north to south the coast to our east bay shoreline and those east bay hills going to be a similar time, a burn off as compared to yesterday, too. So if youve got outside yesterday and liked what you saw, make sure to do that again. He didnt like it so much. Maybe adjust those plans a little bit. But on that extra layer this morning, weve got a few 40s up in the north bay with cloverdale and fairfax. Well down into the 40s, most of us, though, well into the 50s oakland, san Mateo Alameda at 55 San Francisco and berkeley sitting right now at 54 53 degrees later on today. Temps right around the same as yesterdays will be looking at some upper 80s inland 70s by the bay and 60s at the coast. R
