Hundreds of North Carolina protesters take to streets and five are arrested after judge RUFUSED to release body cam footage of cops shooting dead Andrew Brown Jr. Andrew Brown Jr. , 42, was shot and killed by police in North Carolina at 8.30am on April 21  The shooting has sparked eight days of demonstrations in Elizabeth City in North Carolina Protesters gathered again on Wednesday night after judge denied a petition to release body cam footage Brown s family will be allowed to watch redacted footage from five body cams  The family can watch the footage within ten days but not take copies  Their attorneys said the decision was deeply disappointing , adding: Video evidence is the key to discerning the truth and getting well-deserved justice
