Doubtful that the judiciary will support any changes in how the legislature chooses to generally operate. This is about the underlying rationale for a specific “bribery” charge.

The govt may also file a superseding indictment to add additional charges against the current named defendants, e.g. if the USAO has new evidence of additional misconduct and wants to add additional pressure on a defendant to take a plea and testify, then the USAO may file a superseding indictment.
Hopefully this all comes to a crescendo during the midterms when Democrats are campaigning as being the party that restored good government, decency and ethics
